I picked up SC2 today and followed the install instructions, it auto updated some files and I setup my account info. Every time I try to play it asks me to download the game client. The thing is HUGE 6.99GB. Has anyone else bought the retail version and had to download the game client? My DVD is 6.98 GB. I cant find any info in the Blizzard forums.

Haven't had any trouble here, you may just want to uninstall and reinstall. I ran the install from the DVD then ran the game, it will install a patch and then you will need to log into Battle.net.

Ok...I got SC2...and I know everybody is ranting and raving about this game. Im gonna call it for what it really is though. Lazy. It is nowhere near what it COULD be. It's fun...don't get me wrong...but...it's really just StarCraft with an updated skin and some new vehicles and abilities. The cutscenes are nice but not perfect...the graphics are good but not the best and definately could be better. The story is by far the best part of the game if you ask me. I wanted bigger maps, larger gameplay, and ships that are a little more to scale. Battleships are still only so much bigger than a few SCV's. Im not gonna bitch about the graphical style...thats Blizzard. Not the most appealing unless you like the cartoony look but so be it. Overall I was dissapointed...very dissapointed in this game. 12 years and this is all it is? It honestly feels like StarCraft 1.5.

Anybody else agree at all?

Your right, I had to uninstall and reinstall to get it to work right.

Man I forgot all the short cuts I used to use. It's like I'm a noob all over again

I got it!
oly.954 is my name.

I am really enjopying the game, However, it is freezing my machine after the Welcome to the Jungle Level.. The video starts and then the screen goes black, the light on the monitor stays green and the sounds plays the same thing. I have to Hard reboot every time..
Kind of frusterating right now.. Downloaded the most resent HD4850 drivers and that has not helped any.

Any ideas?
